Stories are for sharing.

If you’ve got a story of God moving, we’d love to hear it.

Why share stories?

As a Church, we make a practice of sharing stories.

When you share your story you encourage others as you witness God’s Kingdom is breaking-in.

We’ll aim to share your story on our social media channels, and your story may get shared in person, too.

Please note, we proof stories to help make them as easy to read as possible. See examples, here.

For any questions, email stories@trinitychurchnottingham.org

What to include:

  • Examples might include:

    • answers to prayer,

    • conversion stories,

    • miracles,

    • ways God’s been moving— no matter how big or small, we’d love to hear it.

  • Keep it short. People want to hear your story. Help us to share it by keeping it short.

  • If in doubt, always ask permission. Please be wise, and avoid using identifying information like names without permission.

  • Have fun! We’re here to help if you’re not sure how best to tell your story.

Some examples from our Weekend Away…

Chris's Story
So thank you to whoever made the name badges, because on Friday night, the person that sat opposite me, who I didn't recognise straightaway, is a dear friend of my parents.
My parents were missionaries. My Dad has vascular dementia. And in the last couple of weeks, my mother also has vascular dementia. So I had been cut off from my memories of my family.
When I came here on Friday, we hovered as to where we were going to sit at the table. And David came and sat opposite me. And over the weekend, I've been hearing stories and pictures about my Dad.
Not only has he restored some of my memories of my own family. It's given me a new one.”

Nikki's Story
I just want to say a massive thank you. I didn't want to come this weekend because of my anxiety. But you guys have just made me feel welcome and loved. And God is doing something amazing with me.

Tony's Story
It's been quite a big thing for me to be here this weekend spending so much time around everybody. Obviously, a lot of people know my story - I'm deaf.
So I've had to kind of go along with it even though it's tiring and go out of my comfort zone a little bit. I've had a lot of personal issues that I need help with.
Luckily, I recognise that God puts everything right in front of us. And in this room, you know people from all walks of life come together, we all get on and we've just got a common thing that keeps us together. You couldn't buy it!
I'm leaving the Weekend Away with real friends.
